Celebrities are always getting their pictures taken in front of those step and repeat patterns walls.  We use them for corporate events as well (great branding opportunity – hint hint).  Here is a fun spin on step and repeat…in 3D!  When you think about doing events… always remember to do the unexpected, it adds to that wow factor.

Those are actually method soap bottles that are helping to create…

Encouragement:: My Email Bing is off

I’ve been busy this morning and I did something scary.  I just turned off my email notification this morning.  It won’t ding at me every 5 minutes.  Am I scared? Yes.  Why you ask?  Because I’m glued, thethered, addicted, you name it – to my email.  I check it constantly and reply almost immediately (unless I’m in a meeting or on a program or sleeping).
I follow Emily Ley’s blog…

Obliteration Room:: Working Together to Create Magic.

You all have seen this photo – well maybe.  It’s Yayoi Kusama’s Obliteration Room.  Back in December, over a two week period of time, thousand of people, both young and old, visited the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art.  They entered a completely white room (white walls and white decor).  They were given stickers and the only rule was to put the stickers where ever they wanted.  Yayoi…

Sunday Coffee Sippin’

My Dad hasn’t been feeling too good this past week and I’ve been in Arizona helping my Mom and Sister take care of him.  He had phnemonia (which was super scary) and he is also in the mid-late stages of alzheimers.  To say this has been a stressful week is an understatement.  I’m happy to report – he is feeling better and his spunky personality is back.
It’s been so good to be able to be here to take…

Events:: Mini Sweet Treats

When you’re creating menus for events…have fun with the desserts.  Don’t do the typical creme brulee or cheesecake.  Do something out of the box.  Don’t be shy in chatting with the chef…he would be excited to do something different.  I’m a huge fan on dessert samplers, tetting everyone have a taste of all the goodness (without the guilt – right?).
Here are some ideas that will get your guest…

Encouragement:: Realistic Goals = Bad

How many of you set goals?  How many of you set realistic goals?

I’m reading Tim Ferriss’, The 4-hour Workweek and it’s been so enlightening.  I’m about a third through the book and so far I’ve learned so much.
I’ve set goals before, but not the way that he has described.  I think so many of us take the easy way out and set very realistic goals.  We can check them off our ever growing checklist…

Color Crush:: Purple Obsession

Color can effect us both mentally and physically.  Have you ever noticed when you walk into a room and there is a jarring color and you just need to leave or you walk in and you feel at peace?  I thought it would be fun to put a different spin on this weeks color crush and let you know the meaning of the color and how the color makes you feel.
Purple effects::
