happy weekend!

I’m so ready for the long weekend and I have to say, I’m not ready for summer to be over.  I keep seeing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas pins on Pinterest and decorations in stores and I’m just not ready to go there yet.  It seems like summer has just flown by.
We’ve had a busy week around here.  The little mister started middle school – 6th grade.  This just seems crazy to me.  We’re…

Push Pops Pies have landed…

We’ve all heard about Push Pops, right?  Typically made with mini cupcakes layered with frosting and they were the “latest” trend about 6 months ago.  They’ve been all over parties and weddings.  Push Pops have now made it onto the corporate meetings world scene, but with a little twist.
Let me introduce you to Push Pop Pies.  Don’t they just look delish?  Banana Cream, Cookies & Cream,…

Serving Up a Salad

Now this is the way to serve a salad at your next event or fête.  This image is just eye candy to me.

Encouragement: A Tattoo

Would you ever get a tattoo?  I’ve thought about it; something small, like a heart or a star, but I’ve always come to the same decision.  A tattoo is FOREVER (and it would hurt).

Why am I talking about tattoos? A friend of mine sent me a link yesterday to Seth Godin’s blog and it was about Improving Your Condiments.  I know – what does that have to do with tattoos?  Nothing really, except…

PINteresting: Flowers

We’re working on a event and trying to decide what direction we should go with the flowers.  Gotta love Pinterest to help with the inspiration.  I’ll let you know what direction we go in the next few weeks.  But in the mean time – here are some of our favorites.  What about you?

Events: Shoe Check!

Shoe check…it’s what you need if you’re having a party on the beach.  Came across the image in the David Stark Design  book.  There is some amazing inspiration.  Love the simplicty of the shoe check.  Sometimes it’s the little things that can make an event.

Happy Weekend!

It’s been one crazy week.  We relaunched our website, gave the blog a mini makeover, worked on 5 events that are happening in the next couple of months and registered the little mister for 6th grade.
This weekend, I’m going to be doing a little of this (insert picture below)…

…and working on some concept presentations.
What are you up to?  Hopefully having some fun.  Enjoy your weekend!

Encouragement: Nothing Is Gonna Stop Us

Did you notice anything this week on the blog and the ROAR events website?  How about a completely new look and feel.  A major departure from what it looked like.
I’ve been wanting to redo the ROAR website for about a year and a half.  Last year we were all set to do it, but the vendor that we lined up wasn’t the most honest person.  Took our money and ran to be exact.  It really messed with…

Events: Got Lights

Event lighting is so important.  It sets the tone if your indoors or outdoors.  I just came across this lighting company – Space Lighting and I’m loving all their lighted fixtures.  They can be used as décor, seating and cocktail rounds.  Form and function = awesome.
What’s so great about this Smart & Green collection?  For the lighted fixture, you have over 160,000…

Event: An Advisory Dinner

If you follow me on instagram or facebook, you would know that we recently finished up a program in Washington DC.  The events were a tradeshow and an advisory panel dinner with some key policy stakeholders in the higher education arena.
ROAR events managed everything for the client.  Tradeshow logistics and booth management, swag for both events and the advisory panel dinner.
Here are some details of the…
