A Dinner: Setting the Table

This has been a fun little series to spread out over a week.  Hopefully we’ve been building anticipation for part 3 of A Dinner.  (If you’ve missed part 1 & part 2 – links are at the bottom of this post.)  I have to say, this was one of my most favorite tables to set.  The space was just dripping with warmth.  The twinkle lights hanging from the rafters and the light bouncing off the…

A Dinner: A Giftbar & Cupcakes

On to part 2 of the event we did a couple of Saturday’s ago.  We were giving the attendees a gift, but instead of having giftbags lined up, we set it up a little differently.  We turned it into decor and allowed the guests to pick and choose the items that they would like to take home with them.
So many times, you get a giftbag and 1/2 of the items in there you wouldn’t use.  We wanted the guests to…

A Dinner: Setting The Stage Part I

I just got the pictures back from the event that we produced last week at the Box SF in San Francisco and they are just gorgeous.  There are so many great pictures I thought I would break the post into 3 parts vs. having a mile long post.
The Box SF is really a blank canvas with tons of character.  The space has exposed brick, gorgeous hardwood floors, loft-like ceilings and amazing windows.
We…

Happy First Day of Fall

I can’t believe today is the first day of Fall.  This year has just been moving at lightspeed.  Don’t you think?  Although I love fall, I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to summer just yet.
I’m off to Kansas City tomorrow to do some site visits with a client and thought it would be appropriate to show some of Kansas City’s fall colors.  Wonder if the leaves are turning there yet?
It’s…

TGIF: I’m Choosing Happiness

Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last week and half.  Last week we were putting the finishing touches on an event that just turned out FABulous.  It was such a high.
I had every intention to blog and blog and blog, but then Monday came around and everything went to h*ll and a handbasket and just continued in a downward spiral.  Ever have one of those weeks and you say – WOW – that was a really bad dream?…

Chalk isn’t just for School

Just as the blog title states – chalk isn’t just for school (or the sidewalk) anymore.  I’m loving the chalkboard trend and how it gets incorporated into events.  I’m crazy about fonts, so you can imagine that I love it when there is a great font treatment that goes along with the chalkboard.  To me – that is art in itself.
So how can these be incorporated into your events, take a peek below…
You…

Currently Lovin’: This Menu

I have to say – it takes a lot to get me excited.  Today – it was a menu that I spotted on the Ruffled Blog.  Just love how On Solid Ground Rentals styled this table –  using a clipboard to hold the menu.  So fun and different.  It’s not everyday that a clipboard would work on a table, but sure does here.

I’m also loving the old Bingo cards as coasters.  Rather inventive if I do say so…

Sneak Peek: An Upcoming Event

We’ve been working hard on an event happening next week – which is why I’ve been a bit MIA on the blog lately.  Thought I would share a little sneak peek of the look and feel, custom menus and recipe cards we created and flowers.

Heading to a BBQ

Happy Labor Day!
So many of you are probably heading to a BBQ today.  I saw this image and thought it would make such a cute hostess gift.  Don’t you think?  It could also be a great housewarming, wedding, or shower gift.
And if you are so inclined – this could be your own personal BBQ caddy for a block party.
