Gift Box: A Thank You

We just finished up an amazing event and I love to close out the event with a thank you.  This time around, I had custom cookies made by my go-to baker here in Danville, Junebug Bakery.  I wanted the cookies to match our brand style and colors.
To build the package, we started with a small white shipping box and used one of our custom ROAR stamps to showcase our branding on the outside of the box…

Wanna Get Away: Hotel Wanderlust

Happy Friday!
It’s gorgeous in the Bay Area and this weekend will be no different.  I was researching the 2013 hottest hotels according to Conde Nast Traveler (OK – you got me, I was daydreaming) and here are some of my favorites.  How about you?
This is the Park Hyatt Sydney – and we just found out we’re going to be working on an event in the Fall in this beautiful city.  I think this just might be a…

Go To Caterer: Entertaining Company

Entertaining Company is my GO-TO caterer when I’m in Chicago.  I discovered them a few years back and I jump for joy everytime I get to use them.
I have a confession…when I’m looking for event space in Chicago, I only want to go to places that I can use them.  Yes, they are that good!
I know with ever fiber in my body, if I have Wendy and her team at the Entertaining Company with me, the food for my…

A Picnic Bag

I saw this picnic bag on A Cup of Jo’s blog yesterday and of course, had to immediately put an event spin on it.

Such a fun idea for an incentive group (AKA event speak for a celebratory getaway a company offers to their sales folks that make their quota).  My vision: Whisking the couples off to a park or the beach and have their picnic bag filled with decadent delights.  Sounds like so much fun.

Happy Friday!

We just finished up an amazing week at the Coupa Inspire User Conference.  I can’t wait to share all the incredible pictures.  We created an unforgettable experience for the attendees.  If you follow me on instagram – I was posting tons of photos so you could get a glimpse of what was happening.
But for now – it’s time to relax, reflect and spend a little quality time with the family.  I…

I need this plant

Let me start by saying I do not have a green thumb.  Not at all!  I try…I hope.  Indoor plants just don’t survive in my home.  It might have something to do with the fact that I forget to water them.  We do have some greenery in our house, but let me be completely honest now – they are 2 lighted fake ficus trees that I bought at a home staging sales 6 years ago.  Totally sad -…

Ocean House | Watch Hill, Rhode Island

Happy Friday!  Here is a little hotel eye candy as you head into the weekend.  I just stumbled on this darling little property – Ocean House and was hooked as soon as I saw the beach and ocean view.  (Oh and it’s rated No. 13 from Travel + Leisure as Worlds Best Beach Resort to boot.)
This iconic New England seaside resort would be a fabulous property for an intimate incentive or an executive…

Wood Pallets & Kinfolk

I love Kinfolk Magazine.  Have you ever flipped through the pages?  I came across this photo online this morning and loved the simplicity.  I’m a huge fan of wooden pallets.  It brings in that organic, earthy feel into events.  To me – they immediately set the tone.

Kinfolk does these community gatherings and other events all over the world.  This one in particular was hosted in Los…

Not Your Everyday Lunch

I just came across this photo on Pinterest and of course pinned it.

And then I went to the original website of the photographer (Eric Kelley Photography) that took the photo and was just dying over the photography.
I’m in LOVE with the hand lettering on the picnic box.  I mean – how fun is that?  What an unexpected surprise that all of your guests would notice.  (Note to self: I MUST do…

The Inspired Table

From stunning florals and china to the menus and furniture, these images just ooze luxury.  Some are simple while others are ornate, but all have a common theme – gorgeous!
When I look at these tables, I get so inspired.  It makes me want to throw a party.  They would be beautiful for a wedding, a elegant soirée or intimate party for friends.  Which is your favorite?
