I love wooden slabs and I absolutely love food served on them. It’s unique and adds an organic and natural element to the table. It also makes for a unique branding opportunity for events and weddings.
Below they are used as placemats and subtly branded with the initials. Guests could take these home and use it as a serving piece for their next party.
Want to know the best hotel in the world – according to readers of Conde Nast Traveler? Qualia (pronounced kwah-lee-ah). Where is Qualia? Hamilton Island in Australia surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef.
The best room? There are two according to the readers. Pavilion No. 6 because of the views, seclusion and walkways to the beach and the Beach House for a private lap pool and guest quarters.
I’m at ALT Summit San Francisco today soaking up tons of creative energy and inspiration from some pretty fabulous ladies.
For today’s Bottoms Up post, I decided instead of a single cocktail – let’s do lots, in the form of a beautiful calligraphy menu. Calligraphy and hand lettering is all the rage and this would be a fun addition to your bar. It’s perfect for either a corporate event, soiree at your house or a…
The Resort at Pelican Hill is nestled on the coast of Newport Beach in southern California. I heard that the property was gorgeous and while on vacation last week, we decided to pop in and see for ourselves. The word “stunning” is an understatement.
A combination of hand-laid stone and soaring palms welcomes guests to the Italian inspired hotel, only 30 minutes from Orange County Airport. Guests choose…
Sweet Potato Chips with Mustard Salt for a One Bite Mondays post might seem a bit odd. But part of One Bite Mondays is how food is served.
I just love the way these sweet potato chips would spark a conversation – why you might ask? Because they are served in this darling wooden box with a mason jar for the sauce. Something so simple, yet unique will get your guests talking about it and remembering the event…
We are starting a new series on the blog – Room 101 and it’s all about hotels from all over the world. If you notice in the picture above you will see a W, I, V, M and that means that the property would be ideal for weddings, incentives, vacation spots and meetings. Hope you enjoy and if there is a particular property you are interested – just leave a comment and let us know. We just might add it to our list….

This is a wonderful property for an incentive, wedding (of course) or an executive meeting. Their meeting space has a contemporary, residential feel with amazing natural light….
A couple of weeks ago I headed up to the Napa Valley to an event at V. Sattui Winery. The last time I was here was a very long time ago, for one of my dear friends wedding. It poured rain that day (it hadn’t rained on that day in 99 years). So to say that I really didn’t get to see the winery in all it’s glory was an understatement.
After wandering around the property, I can see why she wanted to…
It’s been a whirlwind week and oh my word, I’ve stumbled upon the most awesome hotel in Chicago. The Ivy Hotel in Chicago is my new favorite. If you follow me on instagram – you would have already seen a sneak peak.
The staff members are so friendly and I’m in love with the contemporary warm vibe. Located on E. Ontario just a couple of blocks off Michigan Avenue; shopping – no problem; dining – no…
