Color Crush:: A Different Perspective

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Sorry I’ve been missing in action.  I’ve been in Salt Lake City with a client.  Brand new launch of a company, party, tradeshow…whew – it’s been a super busy 6 days.  Things will be back to normal tomorrow.  Flying back today…gonna get a little R&R and back on my game.

My color crushs typically start out with a picture of something that grabs my attention.  This weeks crush started out with this photo.  These are flower fields in Carlsbad, CA.  Isn’t the color amazing?

When I went to see who took the picture, I discovered it was an aerial photographer – Alex MacLean.  I’ve been mesmerized by his photos.

I love this photo below – it was taken in Orlando at Universal Studios.  The colors are so vibrant.  When you walk around obviously you see the color, but wow…when you look at it from the top, you see so much more.  All the shapes and color create something so magical that if you didn’t see it from above, you wouldn’t even know it was there.

This next photo is of a beach in orlando and the gradient of the ocean is just magnificient.

 You must check out his site.  Make sure you have a little time to kill because it might take you a while to get through them.
