Inspired By: Table Topics

I love it when I see a photo and all of a sudden I’m inspired and immediately start thinking how I could use this for corporate events.

I saw this picture…

on the Stitch Design blog (they did the amazing branding for Garnish and Gather).  And then I saw this photo…

This got me thinking about networking, birds of a feather lunch discussions and ice breakers.

People who know me, know that I’m not a huge fan of bags at conferences.  Unless they have a real purpose, they can expensive and a waste of budget dollars.

But this particular bag could be lots of fun.  By adding in some table topics I can see the conversations start and some incredible networking taking place.

I’m picturing:

  1. A lunch size reusable bag (that has a great design that appeals to both ladies and gents).  Here is the important part – that they will WANT to take home.
  2. Buffet/Action stations with food disposable containers
  3. Topic card set out by industry, product, expertise, or just fun topics that guests take with them
  4. Head outside for some fun discussions and networking (this could also be done indoors as well).  The tables could be set up by industry, product, etc., or randomly – this completely depends on your goal.

Doesn’t that sound like fun?  It’s not a boring lunch – you’ve just added that element of surprise which makes it memorable.  This idea would be great for corporate events, social events, weddings, you name it.
