Room 101: Bacara Resort

We are starting a new series on the blog – Room 101 and it’s all about hotels from all over the world.  If you notice in the picture above you will see a W, I, V, M and that means that the property would be ideal for weddings, incentives, vacation spots and meetings.  Hope you enjoy and if there is a particular property you are interested – just leave a comment and let us know.  We just might add it to our list.  Without further ado – our first Room 101 property!

Bacara Resort & Spa is located 13 miles north of Santa Barbara and nestled on a bluff between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains.  Words that come to mind when seeing this property – relaxed luxury, natural beauty and stunning views.

The hotel offers 354 guest rooms, suites and luxury retreats, as well as four restaurants and lounges with an array of ambiances for your dining experiences.  Award winning Miro Restaurant features a 12,000 bottle wine cellar and tasting room.  I’m sure anyone would be able to find something they would enjoy.

If the spa suits your fancy, the hotel has a 42,000 square foot wellness center with a large variety of treatment options.

For the golfer, there isn’t golf on property, but that’s alright.  There are 3 world-class courses near by including the adjacent Sandpiper.

For recreation, there is the beach, oceanfront zero-edge swimming pools, lighted tennis courts, hiking trails as well as onsite rental of all the fun beach toys.  One that I’m dying to try is the paddle board.  The prices are very affordable as well.

Bacara is a wonderful vacation spot, but it is also an ideal place for incentives, corporate events, conferences, executive retreats and weddings.  Rates are moderate to expensive, it really depends on the day of the week, time of year and occupancy.

The hotel features 70,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space including the Bacara Ballroom, the screening room and a state of the art Conference Center.

The screening room is a unique space that holds 211 people in theater seats with foldaway desktops.  Suitable for conferences, but also great for 35mm first run movies (and they’ll provide the popcorn.)

Their Executive Conference & Technology Center meets the IACC guidelines and includes an 88-seat auditorium and four dedicated breakouts.

This property has so many options, I could go on and on.

For weddings, their lawn areas are just spectacular.  From the Miro to the Presidential to the Ocean Lawn, you can’t go wrong.  One thing that is fun about the Presidental Lawn – it comes with a 2-night stay in The Residence, Bacara’s premier 3700 square foot luxury rental. (How fun would that be?)

Do I want to plan an event here?  Heck YA!  Let’s do it.
