It’s been a whirlwind week and oh my word, I’ve stumbled upon the most awesome hotel in Chicago. The Ivy Hotel in Chicago is my new favorite. If you follow me on instagram – you would have already seen a sneak peak.
The staff members are so friendly and I’m in love with the contemporary warm vibe. Located on E. Ontario just a couple of blocks off Michigan Avenue; shopping – no problem; dining – no problem.
The hotel rooms are absolutely gorgeous, you might not want to leave your room. With just 63 rooms total and 5 rooms on each floor, the exclusive feel is an understatement. I stayed in a King Suite, 675 square feet of awesomeness. The only downside of my room, is the TV in the bathroom mirror (yes, you heard me correctly) was on the fritz and wasn’t working. The turndown service comes complete with mini cakepops (on night one) and a mini cakepop and homemade chocolate chip cookie (on night two).
The meeting space is lovely. A perfect fit for an executive meeting on a fancy dinner. The hotel offers 3100 square feet of space which made up of 2 separate meeting rooms. There is also the Sky Terrace that would be perfect for after meeting mingling or receptions.
Would I stay at this property again? Absolutely! I was bummed I had to move hotels (had to be closer to the convention center where the event was taking place).
SIDE NOTE: We had dinner at Chicago Q, a BBQ joint in the Gold Coast neighborhood that is urban, hip and absolutely D.E.L.I.S.H. I would highly recommend the BBQ sampler and the corn, black bean and avocado salad. I want to go back for more.
