Ready for another long weekend? I know – I really should have posted this last week since we just had a long weekend. But, we have a 4 day one coming up right before conference week. These 3 little jewels are perfect for a 2 day, 3 day, and 4 day getaway too. You can definitely bring the kiddos to these locales, but after you look at the pictures, you might want to call grandma and grandpa and see if they want the little boops for a visit.
First up is the Saguaro in Scottsdale, AZ. Located next to Old Town. As they put it on their website, Old Town is the historic quarter where cowboys meet cutting edge and this hotel definitely packs a punch with cutting edge and it’s uber hip modern decòr. You’re gonna want to pop into Distrito, one of the hotels restaurants offering New Mexican Cuisine along with over 100 varieties of tequila and an array of cocktails. It’s not going to take much convincing on anyones part to get me to hang out by the pool or the pink fireplace.
Next up is Bardessono in Yountville, CA. The mister and I first went here for our anniversary a few years back and just loved every minute of it. Located in one of the most darling towns in the Napa Valley area, you can’t go wrong with all the restaurants and of course the unbelievable winery’s. There are so many within walking distance, once you park your car, you don’t need to turn it on until you’re ready to head back home. The restuarant onsite at the hotel – Lucy’s is wonderful. Lucy’s garden which is onsite serves as the foundation of the entire culinary experiences at the property.
Our last weekend getaway is the Allison Inn & Spa located in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I’ve never been to this property, but I’ve been eyeing it for a while and would love to head up there soon; Not only to visit, but also to do some wine tasting. Oregon is known for their Pinot Noir’s, which just happens to be my favorite. I would love to wake up in the morning and just soak in the view of the valley and smell the crisp air. The Allison is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Portland – 25 miles (45 minutes). So if your a local – you’re a lucky duck (or beaver).
