I was in Chicago last week and when I’m traveling, I love to try new restaurants.
I mentioned in my check-in post earlier in the week about Chicago Q. It’s an urban BBQ joint that is in the Gold Coast District. This area is filled with great restaurants and this is one to add to your list of “must visit” next time you’re in Chicago.
The Octagon Room seats up to 16.
The Wine Room seats up to 30.
The upstairs seats up to 50.
Menu items include Blackened Farm-Raised Alligator, BBQ Shrimp and Herb Infused Grits and my personal favorite, Kobe Brisket, Pulled Pork and Pulled Chicken BBQ Flight. Another personal favorite was the Smoked Corn, Black Beans and Avocado Salad. Just thinking about them make my mouth water.
The restaurant has tons to offer for everyone – meat eaters, vegetarians and gluten-free. If Bourbon is your thing – they offer Bourbon flights as well as over 50 different types of Bourbon. Wine, beer and cocktail drinkers need not worry – they offer tons of options as well.
I would highly recommend visiting next time your in Chicago! I can’t wait to go back.
